About Olivia
Olivia Beavers is a reporter for The Hill, where she focuses on national security, congressional investigations, among other stories related to the inner workings of Capitol Hill.
As a lead impeachment reporter, Olivia often spent many long nights at the Capitol staking out closed-door meetings or spearheading The Hill's coverage at witness hearings as House Democrats sought to impeach and remove President Trump from office.
Prior to that, Olivia wrote extensively about Democrats' sprawling oversight investigations into the Trump administration, special counsel Robert Mueller's Russia probe, as well as cybersecurity stories related to foreign disinformation campaigns, deepfakes, and more.
To discuss her reporting, Olivia has joined a wide-range of national media outlets including CNN, MSNBC, Fox News, BBC, CBSN, NPR and others.
A Virginia native and a 2015 University of Virginia graduate, Olivia got her start in Washington as a News Associate at CNN. She later joined The Hill where she started off as a breaking news reporter, before being moved to the cybersecurity beat. Olivia is now The Hill's National Security Reporter.
